Vouvray Grande Reserve 2009 Alfio Moriconi Selection – Vouvray, France

From the label: ‘This elegant Vouvray is supple and balanced, with notes of ripe apricots, stone and honey. Enjoy chilled with fresh fruits and soft cheeses.’

Price: $14.99

This clear, light pale yellow wine has a very floral bouquet with a strong scent of pears and apples. It’s a sweet, medium-bodied wine with strong tastes of pears and apples. It has a short finish and would be great for a nice after dinner dessert wine or as a great pairing with a cheese platter.

I really like this wine even though I am usually not a dessert or white wine person. I would definitely buy this wine again. I gave this wine a score of 90 points putting it on my top white wine list.

  1. This is just the kind of wine I would love to pair with a light lunch… a salad, friends, and this wine! I’ll be looking for it in our stores!
